GIOM (aka Guillaume Jambel) was born in Niort, France. In 1997, he relocated to London and enrolled in the London College of Music where, as a drummer, he graduated 5 years later. In the meantime, in 2000, he discovered House Music, and fell in love with it straight away. He started djing in various bars and clubs later that year, and also started making tracks heavily influenced by the likes of Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx and Dj Sneak. He then discovered the more underground side of House, with the likes of Derrick Carter, Inland Knights, Lawnchair Generals and Jacob London. In 2006, GIOM had 2 tracks licensed by San Francisco's prestigious Om Records : “Jus Trippin” for the Dj Heather’s House Of Om compilation, and his remix of Marlo’s “Another One” for the Om Winter Sessions cd, mixed by Johnny Fiasco and Justin Martin. His debut EP is coming out in a few months on Motion Music and will be followed by an Ep on Dj Heather’s Blackcherry Recordings.
